We have just completed a several month study on Prodigy Houses - those large and impressive houses built to accommodate Queen Elizabeth I [and later James I] as she progressed around the country with her court. We completed our study with a visit to Hatfield House, our local Prodigy House.

Our next topic is "How We Built Britain" - 1,000 years of History. We are following a DVD with each member expanding a subject chosen from the DVD to present to the group.

PAST TOPICS HAVE INCLUDED:

  • Chorleywood House and Estate
  • Some City of London Churches
  • The Start of the Landmark Trust and some of the early properties
