|Group Leader:||Alan Barton|
|Meeting Venue:||Leader's home|
|Time:||3rd Thursday of the month from 2:00pm to 4.00pm|
We are now back to meeting in person.
We will be very happy to welcome additional members. You don't have to play an instrument, or have any sort of expertise. Maybe come and relive your youth? Or if you weren't into jazz then, find out what you were missing.
The Group meets to hear presentations by members with music (of course!) and sometimes video clips on a jazz star or a jazz topic. After the hiatus caused by COVID-19 precautions, we have now resumed watching episodes from the wonderful DVD of The History of Jazz by Ken Burns on a bimonthly basis.
Recent presentations have included Jazz in 1948 and the Cool jazz era.
We are now pleased to note that live gigs are resuming. Click on the coloured text for further details.

Another good source of short concerts is US National Public Radio's Tiny Desk concerts. This has rock, folk and jazz.
