Meetings and Events 2018

Meetings are held in Ubley Parish Hall on the third Monday of each month except June and July. There is a £1.00 entry charge to cover the cost of speakers, hire of Ubley Hall and tea/coffee.

Coffee and tea are served from 10.00am followed by the Chairman's announcements and items of interest at 10.30am. The Speaker commences at 10.40am and the Meeting finishes at noon.

In order to enjoy Social Events and Outings organised by our U3A all participants must be U3A members.

Non-members are welcome at monthly meetings at an entry charge of £2.50.

Chew Valley U3A will be holding their next meeting on Monday, 17 December 2018 commencing at 10 am for refreshments before the meeting at 10.30 am at Ubley Village Hall. There will be a recital by the Recorder group and a quiz followed by a Christmas drink and nibbles. The usual meeting fee of £1 for members or £2.50 for visitors will apply.


On 21 January, 2019, Chew Valley U3A will be holding their monthly coffee morning at Ubley Village Hall. Refreshments will be available from 10 am and the meeting will commence at 10.30 am with a talk by Debbie Birtwhistle who is the Fundraising Officer for the Air Ambulance.

On 18th February Alys Laver of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust will be talking about Steart Marshes. How and why they were set up.

On 18th March Sandy Luck, the Manager of Aldwick Wine will be talking about wine production.
