Cheswick Green & District

badminton

The badminton group got underway in September 2015.

Post covid, We may be 2 years older, but we haven't lost it ! We are still active (I refer to this as a spectrum -Running across the court is not compulsory!) and fun (definitely) group. We sometimes laugh more than we
score points and we would describe ourselves as a "social badminton" group, we are (well some of us,) most
definitely not of a competitive league standard,

We have room for a few extra players so if you have badminton experience, however historic !, and fancy refreshing your skills with the shuttlecock, then come along on Thursday mornings to Earlswood Village Hall from 10am or contact Mick Swain for a chat. We pay to play, to cover the hire of the hall and replacement of shuttles etc.

It would be fair to say that this group is not suitable for complete beginners because we have been playing together for a few years now and have clawed our way up to some level of competence but don't expect to see us on court at the commonwealth games.
