THE CUFFLEY & GOFFS OAK MEDICAL PRACTICE PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP
The aim of this group is to enhance the relationship between the practice, the staff and its patients and to assist the practice in continuing to improve its provision of healthcare whilst ensuring that patients are at the heart of decision making.
In brief the objectives are:-
To be a patient voice: promoting a patient led culture
To promote better healthcare and treatment
To challenge and support: help the practice to improve service delivery
There is a committee of twelve elected at the Annual General Meeting which is open to all members. The committee meets at least four times a year.
Membership of the wider group is open to all persons over the age of 16 who are patients of the practice and who have notified their contact details for membership to the Membership Secretary. Members will be asked, perhaps twice a year, about matters that affect the practice and its patients. This is likely to be by on-line surveys or by postal questionnaires.
More members are welcome to join by completing forms which are available at Cuffley and Valley View Surgeries.
A ballet class started in September 2014 with a qualified tutor at The Valle Academy Trust Ltd, Wilton House, Delamare Road EN8 9SG. This is a new form of exercise that is sweeping across the nation at the moment. We obviously will not be prima ballerinas but the movements we learn will be brilliant for our muscles, limbs and especially for balance. There is now a waiting list with the possibility of a second class. If you are interested please contact Carol Farren email@example.com.
