Monthly Meeting Information

Our Monthly Meetings generally take place in the Drill Hall in Lower Church Street Chepstow on the first Tuesday of every month except August. We start promptly at 2:00 pm but doors open at about 1.30 pm.

The Meetings
Start with a short, 10 minute maximum, business session for U3A announcements followed by a speaker on a wide variety of subjects, some serious, and some not so serious. At our Summer and Christmas parties we will be entertained by one or more of our groups such as Drama, Ukulele, Recorders, or one of our other performance groups. Meetings are normally followed by refreshments served by one of our Activity Groups where you can chat and socialise with friends old and new. However, in the current situation, refreshments will be served at your seat by a member of the committee.

You can also collect a copy of our magazine, pay your membership subscriptions, get information about and pay for various trips organised by some of the Groups such as Theatre, Art Appreciation and Away Days, or peruse the paperbacks stall.

Everyone is welcome to come along especially potential new members. If you are not a Chepstow U3A member you will be introduced to someone who will tell you more about our U3A and answer any questions you may have.

The Drill Hall is all on one level, it has a wheelchair ramp from the car park and there are disabled toilets. There is a hearing loop installed.

How to Get to the Drill Hall
The Drill Hall is situated in Lower Church Street, with NP16 5HJ the nearest Post Code for Sat. Nav. users. It is on a one way system so be careful not to miss the entrance to the car park or you will have to go round again!

Coming from Chepstow Town Centre, go through the Town Arch going downhill and carry straight on eventually into the one way system. Carry on past the Castle on your left and the Museum on your right to a set of traffic lights which go over the old Wye Bridge (you could come in this way from Gloucestershire). Don't go through the lights but bear right at this point. Carry on for a further 200 metres or so and bear right again. After further 20 metres or so you turn right into the entrance to the Drill Hall car park.

This is a Pay-And-Display car park. There is another Pay-And-Display car park below the castle, which is just a short walk away along the road past the Museum.

If you have any queries please contact the Secretary.
