Wed Feb 19th GWT Chepstow Talks and events - 7.30pm at Chepstow Leisure Centre
“The Gwent Living Levels Project” an illustrated talk by Gavin Jones. The protection of the Gwent Levels is vital on so many counts; for wildlife of course, but also for local history and communities. This important project for the Gwent Wildlife Trust involves working in partnership with other groups locally and a fleet of volunteers across many disciplines.

Renew your Concessionary WELSH Bus Pass
The renewal date has been extended to the end of February. Your existing one will not be accepted after this date.

First make sure that you know the following:

  • the 19-digit card number printed on the front of your Welsh bus pass
  • your date of birth
  • the postcode your current card is registered to
  • your National Insurance number (on pension statements, disability statements or payslips)
  • The council where you pay your Council Tax (find it on your Council Tax bill)
  • A new digital passport photo but only if you don't like your old one

Then click on Bus Pass Renewal to go to the web site. It will take about 10 minutes for you fill in all the details but it takes about three weeks for your new bus pass to arrive.
If you don't want to renew through the web site take your information to the library and they will do it for you.

Sat Feb 29th Severn Express Bus Service - Changes to Tinetable
Stagecoach are going to change their timetable for this bus (formerly the X7) From 5th January it will not call in at The Mall but will go straight from Chepstow to Bristol and the service to and from Newport will also be changed.

New Service X14 Chepstow to The Mall
In response to many complaints about this the company are now introducing this new service for a trial period. Timetable not yet published.

Sun Mar 1st Welsh Bus Pass Eligibility Age
The Welsh Government has confirmed that the eligibility age for the concessionary bus pass will not be increased and will remain at 60.
Wed Mar 18th GWT Chepstow Talks and events 7.30pm at Chepstow Leisure Centre
"Focus on Nature - a Wildlife Photographer's Year"- an illustrated talk by Chris Hatch, Vice-President of the Gwent Wildlife Trust. Chris always has beautiful photographs to share and not only that, he has wonderful stories to tell about all kinds of wildlife.

Sat May 16th GWT Chepstow Talks and events - 9.30am to 12.30pm
ANNUAL PLANT SALE at the Palmer Community Centre, Cormeilles Square, Chepstow. Free entry.
The Gwent Wildlife Trust’s Chepstow Group will again be hosting their ever-popular Annual Grand Plant Sale and Bazaar. All excellent value, there will be a wide range of small shrubs and perennial garden plants, with annuals and vegetable plants also available. Plus experienced gardeners on hand to advise!
