PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

We encourage you to come along and try out our U3A before you join. However, you can't be a prospective member for ever so you are limited to a maximum of two visits to either our Monthly Meetings or Coffee Mornings or to one of our Activity Groups. After this you must become a member in order to continue to take part in our activities.

WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP COST?

  • Membership is £10.00 and runs for twelve months from 1st April to 31st March the following year. However, if new members join in January, February or March, your subscriptions will last until a year the following March.
  • Once you become a member you can join as many groups as you wish but each group may have their own individual charges to cover their costs such as room hire, equipment costs etc. The Convener of each group will give you these details when you join the group.
  • If you are a member of another U3A then you are required to join Chepstow U3A as well but you will pay a reduced rate of £6.50 as you will already have paid the £3.50 fee to the Third Age Trust (to which all U3As must be a member) as part of your membership at your original U3A. When joining or renewing and paying the reduced membership, please tell us the name of your other U3A.

NEW MEMBERS - How to Join Chepstow U3A

All new members MUST complete a membership form

1.Join by EFTJoin on Line by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)This is our preferred option but you have to be using Internet Banking from your personal Banking Account.
2.Join at a MeetingJoin at Monthly Meetings or Coffee MorningsTake the completed membership form (or get one at the meeting) with cash or cheque to one of these meetings.
3.Join by Post Send the completed membership form and a cheque in the post to the membership secretary.

Choose the option that is most suitable for you by clicking on one of the options in the left hand column. If you are unsure abut which option is best of you, contact the membership mecretary for advice.

EXISTING MEMBERS - How to Renew your Membership

You can renew your membership from the middle of January onwards. If you have not renewed by the June monthly meeting you will receive a reminder. After that, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be a member and your membership will lapse. You can renew your membership as follows:

1.By EFTClick on Electronic Payment of Subscriptions. This is our preferred payment method but you have to be using Internet Banking from your personal Banking Account.
2.At a MeetingGo to one of our Monthly Meetings or Coffee Mornings where you will be able to pay by cash or cheque
3.By PostSend a cheque together with a self addressed stamped envelope for the return of your membership card (if you want one) to the membership secretary at the address at the top of the page.
