No Ballroom Dancing for the moment but we hope to be back as soon as restrictions allow.

The Group started in December 2005 with one class meeting for two hours once per month. We now have three different classes of varying levels of ability meeting every Tuesday apart from August and around Christmas with the group now numbering 38. As you can see from the list of dances below we dance all the usual Ballroom and Latin Dances plus the more popular Sequence dances and one or two less popular ones.

St. Arvans Village Hall is just past the shop on the A466 Tintern road. Teaching generally relies on the experience of Chepstow U3A members though the main group usually go to a professional teacher on the second Tuesday of each month.

In addition to the weekly sessions, we aim to have a couple of Tea Dances during the year, a Dinner Dance around Christmas time, and in November some members go to Devon for a dancing weekend. Members go to Saturday night dances at Sedbury British Legion and monthly tea dances at Portishead (these are advertised below).

Joining a Group?
If you have previous dancing experience it may be possible to join one of the groups but only for couples or for single gentlemen. Regrettably we cannot take any more single ladies. Please contact Derek to see what is possible to match your dancing experience.

First Tuesdays
In most months we have a free Coffee Dance for members of the Dancing Group from 10.00 am to 12 noon (these are highlighted in bold below) hosted by a different member of our Group each month.
