Guidance for AwayDays Outings

  • AwayDays trips are open to all Chepstow u3a members. The Champagne Tasting Trip in September 2022 is also open to non u3a members.
  • Prices are kept as low as possible and includes coach travel, entry to the house, garden, etc. where appropriate and all gratuities. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • You will be given a lanyard displaying your name when you get on the coach.
  • Why do AwayDays issue names on lanyards? It helps to break the ice if you can put a name to a face, it helps new members make new friends, if people see someone on their own with our lanyard on it encourages them to include that person in their group, it helps to encourage a sense of community, and it helps the conveners deliver a duty of care whilst on a trip.
  • It sometimes helps to facilitate entry for the group when everyone is wearing the lanyard.
  • Please wear the lanyard at all times during the visit but give it back to us on returning to the coach at the end of the day.
  • Please let us know if you have any mobility issues.
  • We ask for your mobile number (if you have one) so that we can contact you during the day in an emergency. For instance if you do not turn up for the coach in Chepstow or at the end of the visit.
