Cheddar Valley

Events

There is still some disruption of normal activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This page lists the events that are open to all our members. This page does not list meetings of the various special-interest groups, which are normally only open to members of the particular group. Please see the "Groups" page of this website for information about the special-interest groups.

Under normal circumstances there would be a U3A Meeting Point in Cheddar Library every Monday 10:30 am to 12:00 noon, where potential new members could drop in for a coffee and a chat.

Under normal circumstances, Monthly Talks would be held on the first Thursday of most months. These talks will resume in September. Please see the events listing below.

Under normal circumstances, Coffee Mornings would be held on the third Thursday of the month, except August, at Cheddar Village Hall from 10:00am to 11:30am. These coffee mornings at Cheddar Village Hall will resume in September. Please see the events listing below. Coffee mornings are open to all and are a good time for potential members to come along for a chat.

Under normal circumstances, a number of day trips by coach would be organised throughout the year, plus an annual holiday by coach. The day trips by coach that had been planned for the remainder of 2021 have now all been cancelled due to lack of demand following the Covid-19 pandemic.
