The emphasis of the group is to delve into the background and latest position of countries that are currently in the news.
Perhaps you might like to know which countries this group has visited in the past. We have travelled far and wide from Argentina to Zimbabwe stopping off at Brazil, China, Russia and Syria en route.
Did you know that?
BRAZIL - has the largest Japanese city outside Japan?
ARGENTINIAN - women go through the most plastic surgeries per person in the world.
RUSSIANS - never shake hands across a doorway as they believe that it leads to endless arguments. The Tsar Kolokol bell at the Kremlin is the largest bell in the world, this 223 ton, 6.14m high bell was fabricated in 1735, cracked soon after and has never been rung.
CHINA - Gunpowder was first discovered in China where it was used to create fireworks, and fingerprinting was used in China in 700 A.D.
SYRIA - has some of the world’s most beautiful railway stations.
ZIMBABWE - means “great houses of stone” in the Shona language.
We are keeping our minds active by finding out how other people live and that surprisingly the problems they face are often the same as we have in this country.
If you would like to join us in our travels you would be most welcome -just pack your bags! We still have lots of countries to visit which will take some time to co-ordinate our tour.
New members will be welcome.
