Cunard Visit 12 March 2013
We have to thank one of our group, Peter Jones, for arranging our guided tour of the Cunard Building in Liverpool. In the basement we saw the storage for the steerage class passengers. This was near to part of the original dock wall, which had been retained during building work, and after more than 100 years is still sweating salt. After seeing the different arrangements for the first class and the steerage passengers, we were taken onto the roof. The views were amazing due to the clear day. This is a much abbreviated version of what we saw.
