Castle Bromwich

Learn, Laugh, Live

Welcome to Castle Bromwich U3A! So pleased you have taken a look at us.

The u3a is an exciting and unique organisation for people who are no longer in full time employment and are looking to improve the quality of their life.

The u3a motto is ‘learn, laugh, live’ and you will hopefully enjoy discovering something new and share your own experiences of life with others. So, learn from others and let others learn from you - all informal, no pressure!

Make new friends, enjoy group activities, visit places of interest and learn in a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.

The u3a is a nationwide and international movement which started in 1982 and now has thousands of members.

The Castle Bromwich u3a (CBu3a) was formed in 2011 and currently has around 100 members. The annual membership fee is £16 with a small additional charge for some of the group activities and outings so as to cover costs for room hire, refreshments, materials, transport etc.

There are monthly general meetings, held on the last Wednesday of each month at Arden Hall, with usually a guest speaker, notices and the opportunity to mix and mingle with the other members over a cup of tea or coffee and hear about the various activities we have to offer or you can offer! There are more details on the General Meeting page.

There is a weekly newsletter with up to date information and articles written by members.

You can pay us a visit at one of our general meetings - you are under no obligation - just to get a feel for the group.

Use the contact page on our website or just turn up, you will be made very welcome.
