Meeting place (2): | see below | 09:30am on the 2nd Thursday of the month |
- Every Saturday we meet at 9.30am on the patch of grass at the corner of Colwick Loop Road and Burton Road (on the opposite side of the road from Jubilee Park). The ride is normally around 20 miles, give or take, but we can accommodate shorter rides if you’re just getting back on the saddle.
- In normal times, on the second Thursday, there’s a longer ride, same time, same place.

Keep in touch
It is best to join the group via Beacon or by emailing the convenor using the link below. As a group member, we can put you on our email and WhatsApp lists to make sure you get the latest info about rides and, especially, find out if a ride is cancelled because of bad weather.
Principles for the group
It is important that anyone considering riding with the group reads and fully complies with the Principles for the Cycling Group that are provided here. We always love to welcome new members to our group and tailor rides to suit all abilities. Come and have some fun with us and you might even improve your fitness as well.
For an overview of all future rides click View Public Calendar and select Cycling for Fun from the drop-down list. Alternatively, members of Carlton & Gedling U3A may Login to the Members Portal to access more detailed information about future rides.

Got an old bike in the shed or garage? Not been out cycling for ages and want to try it again or never tried it, but would like to have a go?
Then why not ring Ken or Sue and they can arrange to go out for a ride with you to whatever distance you would like to try. Then once you have mastered that join the cycling for fun group every Saturday morning for a ride that will be around 20 Miles with a coffee stop if we are lucky to be near a café.
