This group does a ramble of about 5 miles, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
CAR COLSTON: Tuesday 12th July
Meet at Ranmoor Road car park at 9:30am for car sharing. The walk will start from The Royal Oak, Tenman Lane, Car Colston, Nottingham NG13 8JE if anyone prefers to meet at the start of the walk.
It is a mainly flat walk through the fields towards Bingham, passing Archer's lake where you can visit a bird hide. Afterwards we can grab a coffee/ beer overlooking the common.
AMBASTON TO ELVASTON: Tuesday 9th August
The walk will start from Main Street, Ambaston, Derby, DE72 3ES near Shardlow where there is limited on street parking, so as many people as possible should car share. Meet at Ranmoor Road car park at 9:30am.
This walk tracks the river Derwent to Elvaston Castle. At the castle there will be 15 minutes free time to either look around the walled gardens, walk by the lake or simply grab a coffee and have a sit down. We will leave Elvaston via the formal gardens onto Thulston then back to Ambaston.
