ABOUT THE GROUP
Group Convenor: Paul MartinezPhone: 0730 507 1206
Assistant Convenor: Colin GoddardPhone: 0773 147 3721
Meeting venue:A member’s house10:00am on the 4th Wednesday of the month

We either meet in a garden, or if the weather is bad, online. Bonsai are very satisfying whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced gardener. Combine gardening and artistic skills in the same hobby. And it doesn't take up a lot of space!

We are an enthusiastic group with a very wide range of experience from complete novice to very experienced, with all stages in between. The sorts of things that we do include:

  • Practice and learning sessions, timed to fit in with the bonsai tree growing year
  • Visits to each other's gardens
  • Problem solving sessions
  • External visits to local bonsai centres and exhibitions
  • Learning from each other
  • Trying out new things.

To see reports and photos from previous meetings, click the links in the sidebar menu. Come on, give us a try. We are always welcoming new members.

We have a Facebook page for the group called Carlton and Gedling Bonsai so that anyone who is not a U3A member can be encouraged to find about our the U3A, and join our group.
