Carlton & Gedling

I am happy to say that we will be returning to Richard Herrod Centre in January and we have booked our General Meetings there for all of next year. Our next meeting will be at the Baptist Church again, but will be in the church at the front instead of the Hall at the rear.

What an inspirational speaker Emma Sheardown was at our last meeting, to achieve what she did with her incapacities I found amazing.

We still have a vacancy on the committee, so I am appealing yet again for new committee members please. While ever we have a full committee the few tasks that we have to do can be spread around making life more enjoyable and rewarding for our committee members.

A few more groups have restarted, and we have new members joining, so things are starting to look and feel more ‘normal’ for our u3a, but without the hard work of a few this wouldn’t be happening. Please support your convenors and committee as much as possible.

Do you know of anyone who would like to join the u3a but is unable to get to meetings? There is a Virtual u3a accessible online which has a huge number of interest groups. An important aim for the VU3a is to reach older people who are isolated through location, illness or immobility - but all are welcome - and from all around the World. Click to go to the Virtual u3a.
