This group discusses the relationship between the individual and society through the lives of notable people drawn from key areas of social life.

It looks at people who have made an impact within a community, a society or on a global level and may have pushed the boundaries of accepted behaviour and structures and covers a wide range of areas.

It is a ‘Self-Learning’ group, whose members choose their subject and do some personal research in preparation for a group discussion.
