We Urgently Need New Group Liaisons to Come Forward

To be able to run again, all groups listed below require Group Liaisons.

• The Badminton group is on hold until further notice. Christine would like a member or prospective member of the group to take over as Group Liaison. I'm sure a current member or perhaps two members of the group could do this? I'ts not difficult and there is always help available.
• A Knit and Natter group will be added if a Liaison will come forward.
• The Bus Pass Safari group has been closed although it could be started again if anyone wishes to take over as the liaison?
• Members interested in a Wine Tasting Group please speak to our Groups Coordinator at any meeting, or send her a message
• Group Liaisons are required for the Luncheon Group
• Group Liaisons required for the Ten Pin Bowling Group.
• Contact Groups Coordinator if you can help with any of the above,

JOINING GROUPS ONLINE

It is now possible for members to join or leave our interest groups via this website. You will need to follow the members portal set up link below for detailed instructions on how to set up your password. Next click the 'members Portal sign in' link and set up your password as per instructions on the set up link. Once signed in click on "Canvey Island U3A Groups" and a list of all of our current groups will then be seen. Click on the group of interest and then click join group and then follow the instructions.

GROUP MEETINGS CALENDAR

Please See Group Meetings Calendar for the date of your next interest group meeting as supplied by the Group Liaisons. The Group Meetings Calendar and Groups Information pages are only updated where the Group Liaison has added the details themselves to their Group on Beacon, or they forward the dates for inclusion to the Groups Coordinator .

IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE A GROUP LIAISON, PLEASE KEEP YOUR GROUP UP TO DATE ON BEACON

Some Groups on our Beacon system are not being kept updated. If, as a Group Liaison you have log in access to Beacon, please log in to your group and make sure that the list of your current Members is up to date. At the same time please check and update your group's "Details" and "Schedule" of meetings, which will then appear on this website in the Groups Information and Group Meetings Calendar. If you do not use Beacon, please contact the Groups Coordinator with a list of your updated group members and any changes in meeting dates and times we will then update it all for you. If you are not sure what to do, please click on the buttons below or contact our Groups Coordinator .

Also, please help to keep your Groups' webpage on this website up to date. (Every Group has its own Webpage, but sadly, rarely used!)

Please look at your Groups page and check if the details are current. To change or include any information i.e. (photos, articles etc.) please send the details to Website Admin and your page will be updated immediately. If sending photos of your group activities please send a decent sized photo (not a Logo size), pehaps something that's been resized to medium which you should be able to send in an email attachment. Also a description would be useful, as photos published without descriptions don't mean a thing.
