5 miles with no stiles or hills. Could be muddy.

About 5 miles, good paths and bridleways with a short amount of road, gentle inclines with one stile (avoidable).

Wed Apr 29th 10.30 2 mile Bluebell walk in Chartham Hatch Nature Reserve with one stile and possibly mud, followed by home-made soup and a roll (optional donation to Kent and Canterbury League of Friends). Sorry, dogs not allowed in the reserve. Instructions for meeting point and parking will be given on booking.

Wed May 6th 11.00 5 mile walk through Hamstreet Woods a National Nature Reserve, offering a beautiful example of an ancient oak woodland where, hopefully, the forest floor will be awash with bluebells, returning alongside The Royal Military Canal. Hamstreet is located 6 miles south of Ashford on the A2070. Train arrives at 10:33 from Ashford. Meet at free car park next to the playing fields on the High Street. There is a good café in the Hamstreet Garden Centre

Wed Jun 24th 1.30 6 mile walk in Chartham led by Ruth and Catherine. A couple of steep hills and stiles, followed by a cream tea by the river in Chartham to recharge our batteries! Suggested donation to Kent and Canterbury League of Friends £5. Meet in the free village hall car park in Station Rd, opposite St Mary’s Church CT4 7HZ. Mon Jul 6th 10.00 Canterbury Middle Ring Walk
11 mile walk circumnavigating Canterbury, starting and finishing outside Kent College Junior School at Harbledown,Canterbury CT2 9AQ, map ref 127 582,
walking through a variety of farmland as well as more urbanised areas offering fantastic views over the city and surroundings. There are little known footpaths as well as working our way through well know areas of the City, though perhaps not using the routes you are familiar with. However well you think you know the City, there should be something new for you to discover.
We will stop for a picnic lunch in the Kingsmead area, roughly at the 7-mile point of our walk.If you feel the entire walk may be too long for you, after about 5 miles there are various options for shortening the walk and even catching a bus to speed your return! Meet outside "Pets at Home" next to B&M Bargains in Ten Perch Road, Wincheap, Canterbury CT1 3TQ. Plenty of parking at Park & Ride.
Walk across the marshes and the orchards. Suitable for trainers and dogs. No pub nearby, but food available in Morrisons or Cafe Solo.

10.30 am Meet at The Fox, Temple Ewell CT16 3DU (GR288441) Pub excellent value. From Canterbury No.15 bus or Kearsney train station. 5 miles good bridleways and footpaths with minimal road. Steep climb at start and descent at end may be slippery. Possible short descent into Brown's Wood and corresponding ascent. Most of the walk will be level.

5 mile circular walk up part of the North Downs Way to Wye Crown , and across to the Devils Kneading Trough with wide ranging views on a clear day. Descending by a stepped path, we return to Wye across fields. Contact Janet Batson
Wed Sep 23rd 10.30 Minnis Bay to Reculver Country Park. A flat linear walk of 3.7 miles one-way, or 7.4 miles returning to the start following the Viking Coastal Trail, mostly along the concrete surfaced sea wall. Free parking on The Parade, Birchington CT7 9QP. Refreshments available in Reculver and at Minnis Bay.
