Gardens
The garden group works to establish a yearly schedule so we can visit local gardens and attractions as well as interesting garden centres and nurseries. Some of these visits may be open to all CCU3A members. Recently we have organised successful visits to National Trust properties, National Garden Scheme venues such as Woodleighton Grove, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and Shrewsbury Flower Show, as well as local parks and garden centres.
We aim to have experts give hints and tips at the monthly meeting during months when the weather is too poor to make outside visits, and we have had demostrations and even a plant swap. All members are welcome, you don't have to be a expert gardener to join, and arrangements can be made for non car driver to car share so allow them to join in visits.
The Garden Group meets monthly - venue normally depending on visits arranged, otherwise at Victory Hall, Slitting Mill.
