Apple iPad & iPhone

The Group is starting its second series this year with most of our original stalwarts signed up with a few from our waiting list. Experience has shown that 16 is about the maximum number who can comfortably exchange experiences and information round one table. We are all much more relaxed with each other now!

Due to the ongoing work at Caryford Hall, we have temporarily had to move to the Market Place CC for the foreseeable future but aim to move back as soon as possible. We will still be meeting on the 1st Thursday of each month, but from 14.00-16.00 pm with the exception of January 2020.

The basics of emails and web browsing are now much better understood but will be reviewed again in the coming year, especially in the light of updated operating systems. The interface with Contacts and how they can be organised into mailing lists may need some rehearsal too. The ever improving cameras on iPhones allow continuous improvement to our photos and the editing on iPads with ever more sophisticated software. We dabbled with video editing last year and may build on that too.

The iPad is such a versatile tool, it is fun exchanging experiences and ideas. The next year will provide so many opportunities. In many ways we have just scratched the surface.

It’s nice to see that more U3a CC members are becoming confident in this digital age.

Further enquiries can be made via the "Webmaster" link on the "Contact" page.
