Community Gardening in our u3a

During the Covid-19 pandemic we have not been able to hold our meetings, therefore our u3a Gardening Group have started taking care of two plots on the Portskewett Cornfield Project. This is open to all Caldicot u3a members to take part and a way for us to keep in touch socially distancing, even if not 'taking up' gardening tools.

The aim of the Cornfield project is to provide sport and leisure facilities for the villages and to improve green spaces. It very much relies on the hard work of volunteers. The Cornfield Project has been named as one of the country's best green spaces and had achieved the prestigious Green Flag community Award. For further details of the Portskewett Cornfield Project please visit their website at www.cornfieldproject.com
