Our Monthly Meetings are held from 2pm - 4pm on the third Thursday of the month at:-

Caldicot Choir Hall, Mill Lane, Caldicot, NP26 5DD.

The doors will be open from 2.00pm for arrival so that the meeting can start promptly at 2.15pm.

Also get the latest information on interest groups and outings as well as socialising over a cup of tea or coffee.

Amblers
Tue Sep 25th The walk today is led by Sheena and starts at the Island car park in Usk, and is about 4 miles long using forest track and fields, there are no stiles although a bit hilly in places but nothing to hard, apart from one short steep bit near the end.
We leave the choir hall at 9.25.
Lunch will be ordered on route at the Cross Keys in Usk, as the walk takes us pass the pub.

Music Appreciation
Thu Sep 27th In July we had some inspired titles for our ‘yes and no’ theme. These included ‘I only have eyes for you’, and Luciano Pavarotti.

For our next meeting on 27th September the theme is ‘ON & OFF’.

Lots to choose from including song, concerto, symphony, Offenbach, Prokofiev (we are not pedantic about spellings!) etc. See what you can come up with and come and join us.
Science
Mon Oct 1st Todays subject will be Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride - Speaker is Christine Green.
Mon Nov 5th Todays subject will be "Butterflies and Moths in Gwent" - speaker is Martin Anthony from the Butterfly Conservation Gwent.
Mon Dec 3rd Todays subject is "The Night Sky in December" - speaker is Chris Dale , Astronomer.
Followed by our Christmas Goodies.
Singing for Pleasure
Mon Oct 8th The group meet ever two weeks on Monday in Portskewett Recreational Hall.
So why not come along and enjoy a song or two.
It will be very informal and we can have a chat about what everyone wishes to sing.
If you know anyone who may be is interested then just turn up on the day.

Based on 35 people attending this holiday the price will be £379.00 each.
As always this will include Dinner Bed and Breakfast, excursions and entertainment.
If you wish to be included please advise Pam Caines.
Deposits of £50.00 each will be required at the June meeting.

Tue Sep 25th The walk today is in the Cleddon Falls area and will be lead by Linda & Clive with parking at Ninewells wood and lunch afterwards in The Lion.
Striders
Tue Sep 25th The walk today is in the Sedbury area and will be lead by Cindy meet at Village Inn with lunch afterwards in The Village Inn.
Strollers
Tue Sep 25th The walk today is in the Itton area and will be lead by Jen & Bill with lunch afterwards at the Piercefield at St Arvans.
Details of the walk. 5.5 miles. Undulating middle section over fields towards Itton. 2 stiles, two small streams no cows a few sheep-very far from the madding crowd and some good views. Jenny and I had not walked most of the route before so hopefully it will be new to you all.
As the Piercefield at St Arvans may not be open we need your meal order before we start the walk.
Please give Jenny your order in the car park even if the Pub is open. You can order in advance up to 6.00pm Monday by e mail to Jenny We would like to start the walk before 10.am if we can so please leave Choir Hall at 9.00.
