This group meets at the contact's home every two weeks on a Monday at 10.30am (next meeting 20th February 2017). This is a very friendly group that meets to share an interest in photos and have fun.
Each time we meet we agree a subject to photograph for the next meeting when we will view them. It is not competative and there is no 'best picture' but it develops your ability to see what is around you.
We also learn editing and manipulation of pics using simple editor and more complex manipulation with Photoshop which seems to be very popular. This can be learnt slowly as people are at different stages.
As for equipment, of course a camera (not a phone) and one with different settings is the requirement. If you are not sure how to use all the controls help will be given. You will also need a laptop to work on (preferably Windows).
None of this requires prior knowledge but knowing how to use a computer is a huge help. However everything else from how to switch on a camera onwards can be covered.
For some recent pictures produced by the group please look at the website
If you require further details about the group please contact Roy
Or come along to one of our members' meetings. We meet on the first Friday of every month (except August) at 1.30 in the Vanguard Centre, United Reform Church, Van Road, Caerphilly.
