A full list of events for the whole of our membership is detailed below. We very much look forward to welcoming you to these events. All members and prospective members are welcome.

We have a monthly general meeting on the first Friday of each month at 1.30pm in the Vanguard Centre, The United Reformed Church, Van Road, Caerphilly, CF83 1JZ.

Fri Jan 10th 2020 The Branch AGM will be followed by a talk from Elin Jones: The Long Road to Womens Suffrage.

Elin will outline the history of the women's suffrage movement, referring to both the Representation of the People Act of 1918, which gave the vote to women over 30, and the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act of 1919, the centenary of which we are about to celebrate - or not - next month

So come on, Vote with your feet, Ladies (and Gentlemen) roll up and listen to how difficult it was for Women to gain equality.
Fri Feb 7th 2020 Jeff Grosvenor from the Friends of Newport Transporter Bridge will be giving a talk about the iconic structure.
Fri Mar 6th 2020 'Tea, China and Trickery' A talk by Alan Cooke, around porcelain.

Fri May 1st 2020 Stewart Broomfield will be giving a talk on Llewellyn Bren, aka LLewellyn ap Gruffudd ap Rhys. More details to follow, but he is probably best known for the failed 'Cymru-exit' from Britain in 1316; exactly 700 years before the Brexit referendum!
