Country Dance

New members to the group are most welcome. Several have joined the U3A to dance with us! No need to bring a partner because we change partners anyway. We have had several new people join us recently and 'refurbished' dancers coming back - welcome all.

If you have enjoyed the music and dance in the Jane Austen films come and learn the dances from that period. We also do the traditional American squares and longways dances.

We have fun dancing to a variety of lovely music selected from around 2,000 CD tracks played through professional equipment and with three regular callers to explain the moves and remind us as we dance.

Easy moves, gentle exercise, no experience needed.
No partner needed because we change partners frequently during the dancing.

We want you to go away smiling!

We are now regularly getting at least 24 dancers so can easily do many different shapes of dance. We reached a magnificent 35 people one Thursday but still have room to take 10 more.

Footwear Comfortable shoes or sandals which stay on your feet well.
