The Bridge group is a friendly group who are welcoming to new members and always willing to give help to those who ask. We are all on a learning curve so don't feel inhibited about joining us.
We meet weekly throughout the year starting at 2.00 pm and finishing by 4.30 pm on Wednesdays at the St Annes School Rooms on Hardwick Square. They can also be accessed from the front of the church.
We have a learning group led by Barbara Byrne. Barbara teaches the basics of ACOL, the bidding system that we use and how to play the dummy hand. This is with just one table of beginners so there is a good opportunity to learn but time for some friendship building as well.
We play 2 types of Bridge; Duplicate and Chicago
The main hall can acommodate up to 12 tables so there is plenty of room for members who wish to join.
Why not come along and join us; if you like playing cards but have not played Bridge then you will quickly learn.
