We are now running Zoom meetings and the next two meetings are:-

16 March Outside speaker from Green Peace The Climate Change problem, what you can do to help, and the government's plans for 2050

Niall Macfadyen Trained as an Engineer and is a Greenpeace Speaker on the Climate and Nature emergency facing the world. He will talk about the global problem, but focus on things people can do and the relative importance of different actions.

The government has committed to stopping UK Greenhouse Gas emissions by 2050, including those from agriculture. Niall will explain how that can be achieved, what it will mean to individuals and how some legislation is already being introduced, for example a change to subsidies for farming, which will have a big impact on the future of the countryside

Following Meeting 13 April lead by Tony Oates a discussion on "how on earth can developed countries get to carbon neutral and beyond by 2050” Note this meeting is the 2nd Tuesday.

We plan more meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 10 till 12 am.
