Please note that all meetings will be held in the main hall of the Buxton Methodist Church with the exception of the AGM which will be held in the Worship Area/..
Non-U3A events of possible interest to U3A Groups/members may occasionally be listed under 'Events' (see also Local Entertainment). There is no MGM in April, July, August and December. Tell the MGM Organiser (click Management Committee and Helpers for role-holder) if you have ideas about a speaker; or, suggest your Group give a presentation everyone would enjoy. |Mon Nov 12th||Meeting||Russell Bosanko, from the Citizens Advice Bureau, will speak about saving energy and reducing fuel costs during the Winter months.|
|Mon Dec 10th||Meeting||U3A Xmas Lunch at the Leewood Hotel, Buxton. This will be a 2 course meal priced at £19 per head. Further details to be issued nearer the time.|

The traditional tale of the famous Eyam Plague is somewhat incidental as David relates how illnesses at this time were treated by such primitive methods. His cheeky look at the fanciful and outrageous world of 17th century healthcare is hugely original and very entertaining.
His recommendations on the website really make him a ‘must hear’ speaker.

|Mon Jun 10th||Meeting||Talk given by Cliff Carlton about the Life and Times of Punch and Judy , going back over the years. Apparently a very amusing talk as well as informative.|
