Places must be booked in advance, the numbers are strictly limited. Maximum ten people, any more will be put on a waiting list. **Reservations by current group members only.**

Group Outing on Wednesday 4th December 2019 to ST ALBANS

We invite you to join our Group, on the above date to St Albans.
As well as all the lovely shops, Wednesday is a Market Day and hopefully there will be a Christmas atmosphere!

St Albans is a place of great interest, with the famous Cathedral and park, which leads to the oldest public house, The Fighting Cocks.
Of particular interest is St Albans Museum and Gallery, at the Town Hall, St Peters Street. It is set out over 3 floors and shows over 2000 years of priceless heritage, and lots more. The Subterranean cells and courtroom are worth a view.
The Museum has a coffee shop, where we could all have a coffee together.
It shows admission as Free Admission, some exhibitions may incur charges.
It is open from 10 am until 17.00 hours.
Visit website:- museum@stalbans.gov.uk

There is a Weatherspoon’s, just off the High Street, The Tudor Tavern, where it is suggested we meet at 1 pm and lunch as a group, if you so wish!

Details. Where to meet:- Bus stop J in Market Street at 10 am

We will catch the number 321 at bus stop J in Market Street; this is the 3rd stop up, at 10.10 am. The buses are quite frequent (every 20 mins). We alight in St Peters Street, where you will be free to explore the area as you wish, or join the group for coffee in the museum.
Return Journey: We suggest that we depart St Albans before the schools ‘turn out’. The number 602 bus would be an interesting journey home. It takes about an hour and travels via Shenley, Radlett and stops at Bushey Station, where you can get your connection to home, or continue to the High Street.
Of course you may wish to journey home at your leisure.
The 724 Greenline bus would take you to Watford Junction, to connect you with your home bus. And of course the 321, takes you back to Watford High Street.

This trip is flexible for you. Everyone in the Group is welcome. It is not limited in number. We will get times of the homeward buses and the bus stop details, and give them to you on the outward journey. Perhaps you would kindly let Patsy know if you are interested, just to give us some idea who to look out for!
