Please return the completed forms as soon as possible as there is a limit on how many members we can accommodate.
The purpose of our U3A is the advancement of education and, in particular, the education of older people and those who are retired from full time work. Obviously during the present Covid crisis our activities have been somewhat limited but currently many groups are active, predominantly using Zoom.
Applications will only be considered from:-
• Residents within the postcodes WD19 and WD23
• Those with access to an active e-mail address as all U3A communications will be sent electronically.
If you do choose to apply, please note that our U3A is a charity entirely dependent on all of its members taking part and contributing to its running. All new applicants are asked to consider how they can actively participate. This might include joining/leading groups or sitting on the Committee. As we are a self-help organisation we would ask you share the skills, experience and talents that you have acquired over the years to enrich our U3A further.
The usual subscription is £18.00 per year but as new membership this year will run for 6 months to April 2021, the half year subscription is £9.00 Membership must be paid for by secure GoCardless direct debit, details of which will be sent once application forms are returned and membership is confirmed. Members are asked to Gift Aid this if they are a UK taxpayer.
