The group meets every Wednesday from 1:30pm Until 4:00pm at St Mary's Church Hall, Hillfield Lane, Stretton
The group is for people of any ability, from absolute beginners to those who have been painting for some time.
Any choice of materials, e.g. watercolour, pastels, ink, acrylic, oils etc, can be catered for. See Materials for further details. There is plenty of help available.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY, BEGINNERS WELCOME
Reams craft shop in Derby has offered a 10% discount on production of a U3A membership card.
The Art Group have to established a biannual showing of their art work at their venue (St. Mary's
Church Hall, Stretton).
We invite the membership of the U3A to visit us, to browse whilst having an
afternoon drink with a snack/cake/biscuit. It will also be an opportunity to discuss, with
the artist's, their various pieces of artwork; and in some instances a chance to purchase
a genuine 'one-off' piece of art.
The first of the yearly exhibitions is in Spring, usually early May and our second showing is in Autumn, usually October. Notices of the dates are sent to all the members of the U3A well in advance and the events are usually well attended.
