Leader: Jim Farquhar
The U3A Cycling Group meets once a month (except during winter!). We don't have a fixed day yet but pick a day based on the availability of the riders. We normally meet in a village at 11:00 for a bike ride of around 15 miles over relatively flat countryside. So far we have avoided starting in Buntingford as it's difficult to find a circular route from there which doesn't include too many hills! The pace is fairly gentle to make sure that no-one gets left behind.
At the end of the ride we head to a local pub for lunch and a chat.
You don't need to be super fit to take part - all you need is a bike (any sort of bike - road bike, hybrid bike, mountain bike, electric bike or tandem; anything will do) and the desire to get out for some light exercise and fresh air. There is plenty of opportunity for a good chat with fellow members and a pleasant lunch at the end (I always think a cycle ride is a good excuse to eat more!).
If you would like more information or to be added to the distribution list for future rides, then please use the link on the top right hand side of this page to contact me (or speak to me at the next Monthly Meeting).
Thanks, Jim Farquhar
