Welcome to Buckhurst Hill U3A
PLEASE READ THE NOTICE TO THE RIGHT OF THIS PAGE
About the U3A
The U3A movement aims to encourage people in their ‘third age’ to come together and develop their interests in a friendly and informal way. If you are wondering what we mean by the ‘third age’ – it is the period after you have finished working full time or raising a family and now have an opportunity to pursue your interests or try something new.
The U3A movement is self-funded and there are currently 1,050 U3As with over 440,000 members around the UK all of which are run by the members for the members.
The video at the bottom of this page will tell you more about the U3A and some of the people who belong to it.
Buckhurst Hill U3A - Charity Registration No. 1178911
Buckhurst Hill U3A is an extremely friendly group of people which was established in January 2015, and continues to expand and thrive. As of January 2020, we have 30 interest groups and 270 members. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for all our members to share friendship, knowledge, skills and experiences, whilst at the same time having a lot of fun.
We meet at 2pm on the second Thursday of every month at Roding Valley Hall (RVH), Station Way, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 6LN (car parking is available on-site).
To find out more about what we do go to our Groups page or have a look at our Events page for a list of upcoming meetings and diary of events.
