U3A First Aid
The U3A First Aid Group is open to members from Buckhurst Hill, Epping Forest, Roding Valley, The Rodings, Waltham Abbey, Wanstead & Woodford. The course is run by Doug Harryman who is a British Red Cross First Aid Trainer
This group will be starting again on Tuesday 8th October, and will run once a month through to May 2020. It will be held in the Theydon Bois Village Hall on the second Tuesday afternoon, from 2.45 – 4.15pm. As we will be in the Hall there won’t be any limitation on numbers.
We will be covering things such as Accident management, unconsciousness, CPR, heart attacks, bleeding, fractures, burns, choking, diabetes and strokes.
The eight sessions will be based on the British Red Cross General First Aid course (but we’ll be doing a lot more than that course covers) - they are intended for general interest only and won’t be certificated. There will be opportunities for lots of questions and for you to have a go at some of the practical elements if you wish to.
There will be a charge of £1.00 per session to cover hire charges and expenses and fees for the whole course £8 will be collected at the first session on 8th October.
Please contact Doug Harryman via the attached link to book a place.
Previous members are very welcome to join up again – you’ve probably forgotten a lot of what we did last time!
