Craft ✂️
This month, the Group met to make some very pretty Spring Wreaths. The main flowers were all made out of card - there was much tracing, cutting, folding and sticking but, much to our surprise, some beautiful daisies and paperwhites emerged from beneath our scissors! The flowers we made were stuck to a subtly sparkly hessian covered polystyrene flat-backed ring and bulked out with some delicate 'fake' flowers and eggs to add to the spring effect. We were really pleased with the results - we all started with the same materials but yet, they all look so different!

We shall next meet on April 19th, when we shall be tackling another new project!
General Craft Group Information
The Craft Group meets at Loughton Bowls Club on the third Friday of each month in the afternoon.
Each month our group makes an item using a different craft technique. Although the format of the meeting is a mini workshop, the purpose of the group is more for members who enjoy making things to get together to be creative. This is a lovely, friendly group: you do not have to be good at or experienced at Craft... everyone is very welcome and we all help each other!
Most of the materials will be provided but before any workshop a list of any basic equipment that you will need to bring will be sent out (e.g. scissors, sewing materials, pencils, craft knife). As I have to source some materials and buy them beforehand, you will need to reserve your place, so I know the quantities required. There will be a small charge for these special materials and also a contribution to be made towards the cost of hiring the Hall. Usually, a session costs about £5.50 in total, although this may change slightly from session to session, depending on the cost of the materials and number of crafters.
Tea and coffee with a biscuit are available for a contribution of 30p.
