Members offer their own gardens as the venue for each meeting and coffee/tea is served during the meeting.
Each meeting runs to an agenda, which includes suggested visits to open gardens, discussions on particular horticultural subjects, and any other matters raised.
Gardens visited are picked from nearby national gardens such as Wakehurst or Borde Hill, particularly if they are reachable by public transport. Other gardens visited are taken from the National Gardens Scheme, which includes private gardens within easy distance of Brighton & Hove. Garden centres are also a good source of information and make an enjoyable outing.
A few years ago the Gardens Group went together to Normandy, France, to visit gardens there, including Monet's garden at Giverny.
