Our monthly meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday in the month at the Spotlight, Hoddesdon. The doors open at 10am and our speaker starts at 10.45.

Before the speaker begins, there is time to talk to the Group Leaders and browse the information available on all our interest groups, and to have a coffee with friends. If you are a visitor, you will have the opportunity to be shown around by a U3A member.

You can buy second hand books at very reasonable prices from our Bookstall, Jigsaw puzzles, and a ticket from our Raffle table (excellent prizes!). These raise funds for our U3A.

Wed Jul 24th Sandringham Flower Show. All U3A members are welcome on our trips..
Tue Sep 17th A day out at Deene Park in Northamptonshire. This will include a private tour of the house, lunch and time to enjoy the gardens.

Sat Jun 22nd Woburn Abbey Garden Show £29. £34 for access to Abbey and Gardens as well.
Mon Jun 24th 'History and Cultivation of Nuts' - a talk by Jacqueline Aviolet.
Tue Jun 18th Visit to Ely. This includes a coffee and cake stop in Haddenham Village, and an optional city centre walking tour.
Fri Jul 19th Gainsborough's House, Sudbury, and the Chocolate Lady, with cream tea included.
London Walks
Sat Jul 20th Barnes and Kew.
Sat Aug 17th Cambridge. Return train fare is £15.50, or £10.25 with a senior railcard. Entry to Botanic Gardens is £5.50.
Moderate Walks

Morning Walks
Tue Jun 25th A walk from Jones Road. Approximately 5 miles. NB. No Toilets. There will be a short break at some point so brng own tea/coffee etc, if required. (This is not the same walk that Mick led in January from Jones Road)
Theatre Group
Sat Jun 22nd The Players Theatre appearing in My Fair Lady at the Palace Theatre, Southend. 2.30 performance. Free time for shopping/lunch beforehand. Tickets £28.
Thu Aug 1st Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall, London. This is a play set in a real courtroom. 2.30 performance, stall seats.
£44 including coach.
Sun Nov 24th Classical Spectacular. Music from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir at the Royal Albert Hall. Music will include Ravel's Bolero, Rule Britannia, and the 1812 Overture, which includes thundering cannons and indoor fireworks. A truly memorable evening. Cost £35.
Wed Dec 11th Brick Lane Xmas Musical, including three course lunch and show. Taking names now, payment in August.
