CORONAVIRUS - We are slowly getting back to normal following the Global Pandemic which was Covid-19. We understand that many members are still concerned about mixing in public, and observing social distancing. Whilst we understand these concerns, we have had many requests to restart the groups, and as almost all of our membership have now been "double-jabbed" and many of us have had our top-ups and a flu vaccine, that the risks of either catching the virus, or at least the risk of hospitalisation is now much reduced. We must stress that whilst many groups have restarted it is up to each individual as to whether they participate in the activities. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible resuming your activities in the near future.

Our monthly meeting is normally held on the 3rd Thursday in the month at the Spotlight, Hoddesdon, although short-term we have begun meetings at the Laura Trott Centre in Cheshunt whilst the Spotlight is being refurbished. Short term whilst we are at Laura Trott, the doors will open about an hour and a half prior to the meeting start which will be at around 2:15pm.

Before the speaker begins, there is time to talk to the Group Leaders and browse the information available on all our interest groups, and to have a coffee with friends. If you are a visitor, you will have the opportunity to be shown around by a U3A member.

You can buy second hand books at very reasonable prices from our Bookstall and a ticket from our Raffle table (excellent prizes!). These raise funds for our U3A.

On this page, links will appear occasionally for events organised by U3A Central Office or the local network of U3As. Just click on the link to find out more.

NB: It is extremely important that you have paid your membership if you’re partaking in any group activities, to ensure our insurance remains valid. Therefore, we have asked all Group Leaders to check membership cards.
