Bus Pass

The aim of the group is to enable members to enjoy a sociable day out using our bus passes (although it is open to everyone regardless of whether they have a pass). We usually meet once a month from March to October. We make the outward journey together and sometimes suggestions are made of things to do and places to visit during the day although everyone is free to do their own thing. On arrival we divide into smaller groups to pursue our individual interests. Details are provided for the return journey and people make their own way home when they are ready. No-one is left on their own.

Since we started in 2018 we have made trips all around Essex, from Harlow to Brightlingsea, Saffron Walden to Southend and all points in between. So far in 2023 we have visited Harlow for its sculptures, Hanningfield Reservoir for the bluebells, White Elm Garden Centre and RHS Hyde Hall, with visits to Heybridge Basin, Dedham and Thaxted planned.
