Walking Group, Fishponds
What it is: Walks of about 3-5 miles, ending in lunch at a pub/cafe. The aim is to give us the opportunity of regular exercise in convivial company. Members take it in turns to research and lead a walk, often around North-East Bristol. There is no programme of walks available in advance and if no-one volunteers to lead there is no walk that week.
When it is: 2nd and 4th Mondays, meeting at 10.30am.
Where it is; The meeting point is often at Morrisons, Fishponds, though this will vary according to the route chosen by the
It is essential to confirm your attendance in advance, so the walk leader can reserve sufficient space at the lunch venue. If the weather is inclement, we will still meet that morning for coffee and chat so can use the time to discuss ideas for future walks.
We will not be able to reconvene this group until the government says it is safe to do so.
We also need a new convenor. If interested, contact the North-East Groups Co-ordinator using the pigeon link on this page.
Reminder - U3A covers walkers for Public Liability only.
