What A group for people who would like to develop their photography skills with the occasional aid of a teacher, but more often by learning from each other
When Usually twice a month. The regular meetings are normally held on the third Monday afternoon of each month at 2.00 pm. Occasionally at other times. Most meetings will last about 2 hours. In addition, once a month we meet to photograph an event, for example a carnival.
Where Each meeting place will be determined by group members. We spend up about one hour on a photographic shoot. There is usually a theme or a challenge to focus on. Towards the end of the afternoon, we meet together in a pub or café for a drink and to discuss the afternoon, or any photography related topic.
Some time may be devoted to examining last month's efforts. Winter meetings may well be indoors photographing specialised subjects.
There is a private Flickr page where members can display their photos. If any member of the group would like access please click on "send a message" button. I am afraid we cannot give access to non members.
We have an extensive library of fantastic photographic books given to us by a retired professional wild life photographer. Members may borrow them freely. For a list click on the "send a message" button.
If you'd like to join us or would like further information, please contact the group convenor by clicking on the "send a message" button.
Contact before coming. Parking, buses and accessibility will vary depending on the meeting place.
