Politics: A Brave New World, Redland
What it is: "What in the world is going on; and how much does it matter to us?" A chance to discuss the political events likely to affect the world we all live in.
When it is: Thursdays, 10.15am - 11.30, fortnightly.
Where it is: Redland Meeting Rooms, Hampton Road BS6 6JE
Group members decide which topics to discuss relating to domestic and international politics. All sessions are introduced/led by group members, often in pairs. To date we have discussed China, Russia, populism and nationalism, corruption, to name a few. Future topics will include America, North Korea, globalisation, and the role of social media as an information channel.
