Yoga, Brislington
What it is: Yoga not only helps to improve mobility, flexibility and strength but it encourages a general sense of well-being through the practice of gentle movement, breathing and relaxation.
When it is: Weekly on Tuesdays in term time 11.30am - 1pm.
Where it is: St Cuthbert's Church Hall, Sandy Park Road, Brislington, BS4 3PG. On Zoom at present.
Each session starts with a short time to centre through awareness and breathing before gentle exercises to warm the body. Then we have the main part of the practice, the postures or asana, and finish with relaxation.
Yoga encourages a sense of living in the moment by being mindful of our bodies and how we respond to movement, so we always practise within our safe and comfortable limits.
