Looking at Art, Redland
What it is: Members and invited speakers give illustrated talks on Art in the widest sense.
When it is: Wednesday mornings, fortnightly, 10 am for coffee, 10.30 till noon.
Where it is: Previously in member's home, Elm Lane, Redland, BS6 6UE. However, discussions are now taking place as to where and how we can meet.
This is a small group who enjoy looking at various forms of Art. Over the past year subjects have included Bonnard, Marianne North, Margaret Preston, William Roberts and Mondrian. Visits to galleries and museums are also organized.
When we reconvene we hope to pick up where we left off in March, looking at Hieronymous Bosch, the Scottish Colourists and the Grosvenor School. As meetings take place in a kitchen we will be cognizant of any guidance on groups, as well as taking advice from U3A locally and nationally.
For further information please click on the pigeon 'send a message' link, see the Annual Bulletin , or send an email to the Groups Co-ordinator via the Contact Us page.
You may also like to consider the Art on Show in South and Central Bristol Group which is different in kind and goes out to look at exhibitions in the city.
