What it is: An enjoyable way of getting to know some of the lovely villages within easy reach of the City.
When it is: Monthly, usually on Wednesdays.
Where it is: As chosen by the members.
We drive to the chosen village independently, arriving at 10.15am at a coffee shop if possible. Every member of the group will be required to research a village once a year either as a couple or singles can join up with another member. The researchers will have visited the village in advance to plan the route for the walk around the village which nearly always includes the local church.
Typically the group will walk for a couple of miles, usually at a leisurely pace. We usually finish at a pub for lunch, but this is of course optional.
Information is obtained from Bristol Central Library and the internet. Most members come on every visit.
For further information on both of these groups contact the Group Convenor by clicking on the pigeon 'send a message' link.
Contact before coming.
