Discovering Villages/Visiting Villages
What it is: An enjoyable way of getting to know some of the lovely villages within easy reach of the City.
When it is: Monthly, usually on Wednesdays.
Where it is: As chosen by the members.
We drive to the chosen village independently, arriving at 10.30am at a coffee shop if possible. Every member of the group will be required to research a village once a year either as a couple or singles can join up with another member. The researchers will have visited the village in advance to plan the route for the walk around the village.
We stop for lunch at the village pub finishing at 2.30pm and the afternoon is free time to explore more.
Information is obtained from Bristol Central Library and the internet. Most members come to every visit.
This group has been very popular and the Convenor has now split it into two groups - the second one is called Visiting Villages. They run on the same day and in the same way. For further information on both of these groups contact the Group Convenor by just clicking on the pigeon 'send a message' link, or see the Annual Bulletin.
Anyone interested in joining the group should contact the Convenor.
Contact before coming.
