Digital Photo Management, Henleaze
What: Almost everyone has a digital camera but, sooner or later, the problem of what to do with the flood of pictures that it produces rears its head! This is a short, focused set of meetings to introduce users to some (free!) software that will allow them to keep their snaps in order, to enhance them and to share them with others by email or via the Internet. It is expected that attendees will have access to a computer and will actively use their cameras and the software between meetings, and demonstrate their results. No laptop? In that case, we have a U3A one to use on the day. Let me know.
When is it: One morning a week for 4-5 weeks, at opening time - 11:30am - until 1:30.
Where is it: The Cambridge Arms, Coldharbour Rd, Westbury Park, BS6 7JS. (Redland Rd end).
We will use well-respected and easy-to-use program 'Picasa' to learn how to manage, group and enhance your pictures, as well as email and publish them on the Web and a few more things besides.
This course is for those able to use a computer and have a digital camera. Bring your laptop and digital camera to the meetings. The groups will be small - 4 to 5 max - and, subject to discussion, meet weekly at their mutual convenience. Due to the short and rather packed nature of the course, it is best that attendees are able to come to all 4-5 sessions.
