Art on Show, South & Central Bristol
What it is: We meet to look at and discuss current local exhibitions, and to share our reactions to the works we see.
When it is: The group is not meeting at present and will only restart when members feel it is safe to do so but our previous routine was to meet monthly on the third Thursday at 10.30 am.
Where it is: At galleries in Bristol and sometimes further afield. We always meet in the gallery's main entrance at 10.30 am. There may be an entrance fee for some exhibitions but most are free.
This friendly and informal group is open to anyone interested in art. New members are very welcome to come and join us but please contact the Convenor before coming for the first time. We choose a different gallery each month, usually in central or south Bristol. After looking at their current exhibition, we discuss what we have seen over coffee. We are learning to analyse, appreciate and understand different kinds of art. We all bring our own experience to what we are looking at and it makes for some lively conversations.
The group is not meeting at present and will only restart when members feel it is safe to do so.
