Discovering Villages 3
What it is: An enjoyable way of getting to know some of the lovely villages within easy reach of the City.
When it is: Monthly, on fourth Tuesday.
Where it is: As chosen by the members.
We drive to the chosen village independently, arriving at 10.30am at a coffee shop if possible. Every member of the group will be required to research a village once a year either as a couple or singles can join up with another member. The researchers will have visited the village in advance to plan the route for the walk around the village which nearly always includes the local church.
Typically the group will walk for a couple of miles, usually at a leisurely pace. We usually finish at a pub for lunch, but this is of course optional, and the afternoon is free time to explore more.
Information is obtained from Bristol Central Library and the internet. Most members come on every visit.
